HOW LONG IS EACH SESSION?
Each session is booked for 50 minutes. We can discuss booking longer or shorter sessions based on your needs.
WHAT ARE THE SESSIONS LIKE?
I work from a Cognitive Behavioural and Acceptance and Commitment approach. I am compassionate and committed to supporting the change you want to experience. We discuss your history and current reality, and set goals to work on and toward, with a focus on your thoughts, feelings and behaviour. I recommend trying three sessions with a review.
Finding a psychologist you connect with and trust can take time.
DO YOU WORK WITH CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS?
I do not work with children under the age of 10 years. I regularly work with adolescents - please contact me to discuss.
DO YOU UNDERTAKE ASSESSMENTS AND PROVIDE REPORTS?
Depending on the case I may undertake assessments and provide reports, or can refer to the appropriate specialist.
WHAT IS THE COST?
Each session costs $220, booked and paid online in advance. Medicare rebates (with a Mental Health Care Plan) OR private health insurance rebates may apply (depending on your cover) by submitting your receipt for reimbursement.
DO YOU OFFER BULK BILLING?
Yes, I accept bulk billed referrals on a mental health care plan for Sport and Exercise patients with an out of pocket gap payment.
DO YOU ACCEPT MENTAL HEALTH CARE PLANS?
Yes. A mental health treatment plan lets you claim up to 10 individual and 10 group sessions with a mental health professional each calendar year. To start with, your doctor or psychiatrist will refer you for up to 6 sessions at a time. If you need more, they can refer you for further sessions.
